The Parish of Cushinstown

The Parish of Cushinstown commissioned Designbytes to design a new logo and stationery which included letterhead, business cards and compliments slip recently.

Their brief to us was to create a contemporary logo to represent the 3 churches in the parish coming together. They asked for the logo to be round and use lime green, yellow and blue (the parish colours). Cushinstown wanted the logo to appeal to younger and older members of the community and to be symbolic. The logo was also to feature the turmoil of the ocean. They asked for the logo not to be traditional but to be refreshing and vibrant and to appeal to all generations.

We designed the logo using intertwining circles which represented the 3‭ ‬churches coming together and moving together as one and using their chosen colours. ‬The 3‭ ‬icons in the centre of the circle represent the many different types of people in the parish rejoicing together as one‭.‬ The fish shape under the 3 icons represents the turmoil of the ocean. The symbols on the 3 icons represent the 3 parishes. St. Bridgets, St. Anne and St. Joseph.
